These games are a fun way to practice the phonics patterns that we have learned using the UFLI series. The Roll and Read game is a good one to play if you don’t have a partner. Tic-Tac-Toe and Ups and Downs are favourites in our groups.
Before you can play the games, you will need to choose a word list.
Under “Select Words” choose “Words from UFLI Foundations”.
Feel free to email Mrs. Dreilich at kdreilich@sd62.bc.ca to find out which level and skill to practice.
To work on short vowels, choose levels 35-41.
For digraphs choose level 45 for sh, 46 and 47 for th,and 48 for ch.
For long vowels using the “magic e” pattern, choose levels 54-62.
